I wanted to talk a little bit about renting from the website Rent the Runway(referral link) and the tips I've found useful.
This is my 4 or 5th rental, so it's obvious I enjoy the business plan. They allow you to rent for 4 days a designer piece (clothes or accessories) without any of the buyer's remorse. I am seriously eyeing their unlimited program, which you can rent as many pieces as you want for $139 a month....but we'll have to see how the budget rolls out (plus you get to keep them for as long as you want).
Some tips from me:
1) Read the comments from other renters.....they'll talk to you about fit and wear. This dress I rented below, people kept saying it ran large (RTR allows you to rent one extra size for free). I did end up wearing the smaller size....so trust other ladies!
2) Allow yourself to experiment with style for a night out. I've rented jumpsuits and really girly pieces I probably never would have purchased for myself.
3) The PRO option is a must if you get hooked, free shipping, free insurance (in case you spill) AND a free birthday dress (which is what this rental was for me)
As for the rental, I paired loved the feminine feel of the ERIN by Erin Fetherson dress and it was a heavier material, so still kept me warm in the winter season. I styled it with my White House Black Market bow belt and some edgy accessories so counter act the feminine feel. The full skirt was also a lot of fun to twirl in!!
Hope you enjoyed this post, I'm always trying to find new spots to shoot! Can't wait for the weather to get a bit warmer and everything gets green again!
See you later, back here in my closet!
